A very special fair where the kids are in charge!
Date & times: Sat 31st Oct (times TBC) | Yourspace Sutton
The Whipper Snapper Upper is a fair with a difference….this time, the whipper snappers are running the stalls!
Hosted at Yourspace Sutton, the event will give young people the chance to come up with their own stall idea, make or create something, set up their stall and have a go at running it themselves.
From homemade crafts and artwork to games, plants, cakes, pre-loved toys or brilliantly bonkers ideas we haven’t even thought of yet, we want the fair to be shaped by the children taking part.
The aim is to create a fun, welcoming community event that gives local children an opportunity to get creative, try something new, build confidence and experience running their own mini-enterprise – while friends, families and the wider community come along to support them.
Calling all young stallholders!
Would your child like to run their own stall?
We’re looking for local children and young people who would like to take part. They don’t need any previous experience and their idea doesn’t need to be complicated – we want this to be something fun that they can make their own.
Stall ideas could include:
- 🎨 Homemade art, crafts, cards or jewellery
- 🌱 Plants, seeds or garden creations
- 🧁 Cakes, biscuits or other homemade treats
- 🧸 Pre-loved toys, books or games
- 🎯 Games, challenges or activities
- 💡 Or something completely different!
Children should be involved in creating and running their stall, with grown-ups there to lend a helping hand where needed – but the kids are in charge!
